Frequently asked questions

“The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal, and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again, but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same, nor would you want to.”
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
What is Counselling?

Counselling provides a space for you to look at your issues, where you will not be judged, where you are free to say exactly what is on your mind in complete confidentiality.

Will I always feel this way?

No, you will find a space to put your grief. You will be stronger and you will move on to accept your loss and to find a new way of life.

Do you offer evening and weekend appointments?

Evening and weekend appointments are available. This is agreed with your Counsellor.

How many counselling sessions can I have with you?

We offer seven sessions with the option of a further three should issues remain unresolved. Should you feel the need for further therapy we will place you back on the waiting list and provide further sessions. The door is always open.
